The patch you see above is the unit patch for the United States Army Security Agency (ASA). Up until 1976 the ASA was one of three military units that comprised the National Security Agency (NSA). Those units were the Army Security Agency, Naval Security Group and the Air Force Security Service. The NSA is one of the most elite sophisticated spy agencies in the world.    I was proud to have served as a Staff Sergeant with the ASA from 1965 to 1975.  During that time I served at locations around the world to include: Vietnam (66-68 & 70-71), Germany, Texas, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts and a special R&D assignment in California.

 

My military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), National Defense Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Citation, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry Unit Citation, Expert Badge for Automatic Rifle and M79 Grenade and Sharpshooter Badge for M14.

 

I have spent the past 20 plus years working in the field of security.  I have served in every capacity from walking patrols at construction sites, apartment complexes and corporate installations to working in-house security for a major corporation and finally as security director for a large realty investment company. 

 

I am a firm believer that all personnel working in the field of security need to be highly trained, motivated and prepared for any situation that they may encounter.  That is one of the main reasons that I got into the business of offering this line of self defense products.
